About ADK's AI

ADK uses AI to understand what you tell it and to put together plans, ideas and recommendations. That's what makes it feel like talking to a person instead of filling in a form. It's also why a few things are worth knowing.

AI can be wrong

Everything ADK suggests is a starting point, not an instruction. It can misread what you meant, miss something obvious, or state something confidently that simply isn't right. Use your own judgement, especially when a decision costs money or affects someone's wellbeing.

Anything from the outside world can change

When a plan mentions a restaurant, a shop, an opening time, a price or a product, ADK is passing on what it found at that moment. Prices change, places close, things sell out, hours shift on holidays. Check before you travel, book or buy.

• Confirm opening hours and bookings directly with the business.
• Treat any price as the price at the time we looked it up.
• Check sizing, fit and returns on the retailer's own page before buying.
• Sometimes live information isn't available at all — ADK will say so rather than guess.

Food, allergies and safety

ADK keeps anything you tell it about an allergy or a medical dietary need separate from ordinary likes and dislikes. Preferences can be learned quietly from how you use ADK; safety information is only ever recorded when you state it explicitly, and it is never guessed, changed or dropped based on your behaviour.

Even so, ADK cannot see the packet in your hand. Always read labels and ingredient lists, and ask about preparation and cross-contamination when eating out. Treat a meal suggestion as an idea to check, never as clearance to eat something.

Not professional advice

ADK is a household assistant. It is not a doctor, pharmacist, lawyer, accountant, financial adviser or veterinarian, and nothing it says should be treated as professional advice. For anything medical, legal, financial or otherwise consequential, speak to a qualified professional.

What ADK remembers

ADK gets better as it learns your household, and you can see and remove everything it has saved under Settings → Memory. Nothing read from a connected calendar is ever saved as a memory, and nothing ADK notices on its own can send you a notification — only a reminder you asked for can do that.
